Jobs & Java
November 17, 2022
2:00pm

Teal Arcadi, who just landed a position in at a teaching-focused institution, joins us for this season—focused on teaching and teaching statements.

“Jobs & Java” is an informal skills workshop and support group for graduate students and postdocs in historical fields. Wherever possible we will discuss strategies for approaching the academic and related job markets, using “live” jobs and real application materials, and sharing experiences good and bad.

To get the most out of the sessions, feel free to send Prof. Karp a copy of your application materials in advance or bring them to the session. Although, bringing materials to sessions is optional, it always the group to talk about the job market and preparing documents in a more concrete way. Personal materials discussed or viewed during a session will never be circulated!)
