Event Description

“Jobs & Java” is an informal skills workshop and support group for graduate students and postdocs in historical fields. Wherever possible we will discuss strategies for approaching the academic and related job markets, using “live” jobs and real application materials, and sharing experiences good and bad.

To get the most out of the sessions, feel free to send Prof. Baring a copy of your application materials in advance or bring them to the session. Although bringing materials to sessions is optional, it allows the group to talk about the job market and prepare documents in a more concrete way. Personal materials discussed or viewed during a session will never be circulated!

You can contact Leanne M. Horinko Reed at [email protected] for the zoom information and Dr. Edward Baring at [email protected] with materials or for zoom information.
