I, Ahasverus: A Jewish-Israeli Story

The Shelby Cullom Davis Center Seminars present weekly programming on a variety of topics related to the Center's current theme. Visiting Fellows from academic institutions near and far help to create a rich understanding of the topic from diverse yet overlapping perspectives. The theme for the academic years 2020-21 and 2021-22 is “Revolutionary Change.”

The seminar starts with a brief comment by an invited commentator, and a response from the author, after which the floor is open for questions from attendees. The papers are pre-circulated and can be accessed one week prior to the date of the seminar. The papers provide the password for the Zoom session. You may access the papers on SharePoint (login required).

Hybrid Format

This seminar is being offered in a hybrid format (in-person and via Zoom). The in-person seminar takes place in Dickinson Hall 211 on the Princeton campus. In both cases, attendance is restricted to Princeton University ID holders and to current fellows and faculty at the Institute for Advanced Study. There is an occupancy limit for in-person attendance, and registration is required. You can register by contacting Jennifer Goldman. In accordance with Princeton University regulations, all in-person attendees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and wear masks throughout the seminar.

Depending on the number of participants and the wishes of the presenters, the Davis Center may also be able to admit a limited number of guests each week. If you do not have Princeton or IAS credentials, and wish to attend a particular session and receive the paper, please email Jennifer Goldman.
