Zheng Guan

Zheng Guan will be taking up an internship this summer with World Wildlife Fund (Food Loss) through the Princeton RISE (Recognizing Inequalities and Standing for Justice) Grant Initiative. Zheng's role will include conducting research on fair labor practices pertaining to regenerative agriculture.

Jiya Pandya

Jiya Pandya won Princeton's "Outstanding Advocacy Award" in the Best of Access, Diversity, and Inclusion Awards for the year, which "recognizes exemplary student leadership, initiative, dedication, and advocacy with a diversity, inclusion, and/or social justice focus. This may include organizing events, coordinating community-building activities, leading justice movements, or advocating for causes on campus and within broader communities."

Maia Silber published an essay in The New Yorker, "A Jewish Immigrant Novelist’s Radical Vision for Working Women".

Liya Xie

Liya Xie will present her paper "Unlearning Religion in Churches: The Ambiguity of Space and Materiality in Soviet Antireligious Museums " at the conference Religion and Spirituality as Sites of Learning in Åbo/Turku, Finland. Xie also recently published a review of Russia in World History: A Transnational Approach by Choi Chatterjee, and she was the recipient of the 2023-2024 Graduate Student Research Award from the Center for Culture, Society, and Religion at Princeton University.

Robert Yee
