Alum Richard Calis Awarded Dissertation Prize

Graduate alumnus Richard Calis was awarded the Fritz Stern Dissertation Prize by the German Historical Institute, which recognizes the best doctoral dissertation on a topic in German history written at a North American university. Each year's winner is invited to present their research at the annual symposium of the Friends of the German Historical Institute.

Calis will give a lecture on his dissertation, "Martin Crusius (1526-1607) and the Lutheran Discovery of Ottoman Greece" on May 14, 2021, at 12pm EST on Zoom.
