This grant will enable her to travel to Abilene, Kansas, to conduct research at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Library for her dissertation about the social and professional worlds of foreign policy reporters in Washington during World War II and the early Cold War years. Her first book, The Whole Damn Deal: Robert Strauss and the Art of Politics, a political biography of the Democratic power broker, was published by PublicAffairs Books in 2011.
