Pravilova Wins Two Book Prizes

Professor of History Ekaterina Pravilova was recently lauded with two major prizes for her book A Public Empire: Property and the Quest for the Common Good in Imperial Russia (Princeton Univ. Press, 2014).

Pravilova received The George L. Mosse Prize in the intellectual and cultural history of Europe since 1500 from the American Historical Association, and The Wayne S. Vucinich Book Prize for the most important contribution to Russian, Eurasian and East European studies in any discipline of the humanities or social sciences awarded by the Association for Slavic Studies, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) and the Stanford University Center for Russian and East European Studies.
