Joseph Bishop

Joseph Bishop received the 2024 Alex McIntosh Essay Prize for his paper, "The Nutrients of Quelling a Riot: Employing Nutrition to Curb Social Unrest During New York City's 1917 Protests Against Food Prices." The Alex McIntosh Essay Prize is awarded by the Association for the Study of Food and Society for a graduate student’s outstanding contribution to the field of food studies. The award committee found the paper “impeccably researched, well-written, and timely.”
