Susan Iseyen and Anastasiia Lystsova were selected as PIIRS Graduate Fellows and will receive a dissertation write-up fellowship for the academic year 2025–26.

Second-year Ph.D. student in the History of Science program, Andrew Hoyt, was awarded the American Society for Environmental History-Forest History Society Graduate Student Essay Prize for “Sovereignty Through Stewardship: Wild Rice, Minnesota Ojibwe Resurgence, and the Politics of Relational Restoration”.

Nick Barone was awarded a Cotsen Junior Fellowship for the 2025–2026 academic year.
