William Chester Jordan Receives Honorary Degree from the Catholic University of America

Professor William Chester Jordan received an honorary doctor of Humane Letters, honors causa from the Catholic University of America (CUA) at their commencement on May 14, 2021.

William Chester Jordan is Dayton-Stockton Professor of History at Princeton University.

Since 1896, CUA has conferred more than 300 honorary degrees. Recipients have come from virtually every walk of life – professors, poets, cops, kings, journalists, judges, bishops, and politicians. All have made contributions to the Church and/or society that earned them this special recognition. Most of the honorary degrees have been conferred at Commencement; some have been given on other special occasions.
