Bio/Description

As the Program and Budget Manager of the Center for Collaborative History (CCH), Jennifer oversees the department’s many working groups; supports faculty members who are working together on research projects, conferences, and symposia; provides financial management for large collaborative research grants from external sources; coordinates short-term visitorships; and coordinates and monitors collaborative projects with other academic institutions, both domestic and international.

Jennifer also manages the Global History Lab (GHL) programming that remains housed in the Department of History and is under the direction of Professor Jeremy Adelman. For GHL, she oversees the Global History Workshop, coordinates international scholarly exchanges, and provides financial management for the lab's initiatives involving world history.

After the university shut down to in-person education in March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Jennifer pivoted in her daily tasks to focus on: training faculty on Zoom, providing technical co-hosting, coordinating a series of technical training seminars during June - July 2020, and one-on-one training with faculty members to ensure the technical skills needed for online teaching. She also conducted departmental training on the Learning Management System, Canvas.

Prior to joining the Department of History in 2015, Jennifer worked at The Graduate School at Princeton University from 2013-2015 as the Coordinator for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion. There, Jennifer supported DEI initiatives with programming, recruiting, retention, financial management, and the PSURE summer program. From 2007-2013, Jennifer was the Events & Publications Coordinator for the Center for African American Studies (now Department of African American Studies).

She has earned three certificates from Princeton University: Management Development (through the Office of Human Resources), Business Technologies (through the Office of Information & Technology), and Supervising for Safety (through Office of Environmental Health & Safety). Jennifer is an active member of the Academic Managers Group (AMG) previously participating in the volunteer sub-committee, co-chair of the conference sub-committee from 2018-2020, and most recently on the organizing committee of the 2023 AMG Summer Institute.

In her free time, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, walking her dog Henry, traveling, embroidery, knitting, listening to audio books, and is an active member of her church, St. Luke's Episcopal Church, in Newtown, PA. She is currently serving a three-year term (2023-2026) on the church's vestry and is in charge of A/V for the church as well as the webmaster. She is also a member of the church's Prayer Shawl Ministry.
