Curriculum vitae

James Pickett is a historian of empire and Islamic authority in eighteenth and nineteenth century Eurasia. He graduated from Princeton in June, 2015, and will serve as the InterAsia postdoctoral associate at Yale University (2015-2016) while on leave from his assistant professorship in Eurasian history at the University of Pittsburgh.
